2017 - Business Started
Driven by a passion for innovation, Jordan Cowsill and Ricky Patidar founded CloudTech Financial to modernise accounting and address the inefficiencies of traditional firms. Their forward-thinking approach embraces technology to transform bookkeeping

2019 - Exit Strategy
After years of steady organic growth, the business was sold. With a vision for a more comprehensive accounting firm, the director, Jordan, shifted his focus to building a full-service practice. The transition was seamless, with clients retained but now housed with a full armoury of accounting and tax services.

2020 - ClearCloud Accounting Was Born
ClearCloud Accounting was established as Jordan set out to create a full-service accounting and tax practice, leveraging his industry experience and newly obtained practising certificate. The firm quickly gained traction across a range of industries, with a particular focus on e-commerce and property, which became core specialisations.

2021 - First Employee
By 2021, ClearCloud Accounting had grown to the point where it needed its first hire, marking an exciting milestone and reinforcing confidence in the business’s continued growth. At this stage, the business was still operating fully remotely.

2022/23 - Business Expansion
The years 2022 and 2023 marked significant growth for ClearCloud Accounting, establishing the firm as a major player in the e-commerce and property sectors. During this period, we expanded our team, secured new office spaces, and strengthened key partnerships, further enhancing our service offerings.

2024 - COPA Rebrand
In 2024, the rebrand to COPA Accounting came after an in-depth analysis of the company’s vision and goals. New partners were brought on board to help guide the business through this pivotal year. We also expanded into our current premises at Gateway House, Manchester. The business continues to grow from strength to strength, with plans to launch additional departments specialising in tax, investment, and funding.
